Ok, by FAR one of the more enlightening, entertaining and interesting talks on TED (props to her for wearing her "decompaculture" prototype suit). This young scientist posits using our decompsing bodies as food fertilizer for edible mushrooms This'll challenge us to reevalute our traditional our hegemonic position in the food chain by forcing us to view our bodies as a finite resoure through which we can recover the environmental degradation we cause in our waking lives. In this sense, we recycle our bodies to feed the earth, paying homage to mother earth through responsible self-motivated action. It's pretty extreme, but I think that if it the technology proves effective, this could be the start of something positive for the human race.
