So, Ive been a casual fan of m83 since highschool, but never truly appreciated their sonic gifts until this year when I attended the Laneway festival in Auckland. The light show, the cinematic and dramatic primordial presence of the tribal drums harks something carnal with the throbbing of the drumbeat against your heart literally tugging at your heart strings. This is just a little tid bit from their live show that I found on Youtube. One of the, if not the most sonically, visually arresting and powerful live acts I've seen.
