Musings: Bernhard Schlink

Writer, author of 'The Reader' and reknowned german judge, Bernhard Schlink talks about german guilt:

The most intriguing and layered faeture of 'The Reader' are the moral ambiguities that follow long after the book or film is finished. How do we reconcile wihout feeling guilt or shame? More over, this is not just a german issue, but sets a precedence for future atrocities, or personal burdens.
